Delete your TinySteps account

βœ‰οΈ By email

Can't sign in? Email [email protected] from the address you use for TinySteps with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner, and reply when it's done.

What is deleted

  • Your account: name, email address, password hash, profile picture, sign-in sessions and passkeys.

  • Every family where you are the only member, with everything in it: children's profiles (names, emoji, colours, birth years, photos), tasks and routines, approvals and points, rewards, milestones and TV slides.

  • Photos and audio uploaded to those families (child photos, album pictures, backgrounds, custom images, azan audio) are removed from our storage.

  • TVs paired with those families are unpaired: their device tokens stop working.

  • AI assistant connections (MCP / Connected apps) and tokens you created, and invitations sent to or by you.

Families you share with others

If other grown-ups are members of a family, the family stays for them. Only your membership is removed. If you were the only owner, the longest-standing manager (or else member) becomes the owner. Children, tasks and points in that family belong to the family and stay. Things you did there, such as approvals, stay in the family history without your name or email.

What is kept, and for how long

  • We don't keep a copy of your account or of deleted families. There is no "deactivated" state: deletion is permanent.
  • We don't make separate backups. If our hosting provider (Railway) holds short-term infrastructure snapshots of the database, deleted data drops out of them within 30 days.
  • Technical server logs may contain your account ID (not your name or email) for up to 30 days.

πŸ“Ί Unpairing a TV

You don't need to delete your account to stop a TV showing your family. Unpair it on the TV (TinySteps TV settings β†’ Unpair this TV), or remove it under TV devices in the phone or web app. The TV's token stops working at once.
